Gottorpskolan (grades 7–9) is seeking an engaged science teacher who wants to contribute to our students' development and future. In this role, you will: teach science subjects, serve as a mentor and work with guardians to support students' development into independent and responsible individuals, actively participate in the school's development work, where we strive to create a sense of growth and joy for both students and teachers. At Gottorpskolan, you collaborate every week with both subject colleagues and grade-level team members during scheduled meeting times. You work closely with teachers, student support services, and school leadership to give all students the best possible conditions to reach their full potential. Collaboration with guardians and other stakeholders is a natural part of the role. Qualifications We are looking for someone who is certified and licensed to teach science. You have solid knowledge of the school's curriculum and use it naturally in your daily work. With your pedagogical expertise, you lead instruction and create a safe, inclusive, and inspiring learning environment. You develop your teaching based on research and use both analog and digital tools in an appropriate manner. You have a professional approach and build strong relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. We have just over 550 students in grades 7–9 and approximately 70 staff members who together create a safe and stimulating learning environment. Since we accept students from many different schools, we place great emphasis on creating smooth transitions to grade 7. Our school social team with student coordinators and a social pedagogue focuses on safety and a conducive study environment, and leads systematic work to improve attendance. For several years, we have conducted exchanges through Erasmus+ and have classes in each grade level within the MFF Academy. We are pleased to offer club activities after school in music, literature, and chess. Our bright and well-equipped library is run by a school librarian who contributes to our shared language development work.
