The Children and Youth Administration is responsible for preschools, after-school programs, primary schools, and adapted primary schools grades F-9. Ängaboskolan is an F-6 school with approximately 360 primary school students. The school is located in southern Alingsås and is situated close to both forest and lake. The school facilities are spacious and fresh and enable a variety of working methods for both school and after-school programs. Around the school buildings there is a large schoolyard that encourages our students to participate in various outdoor activities such as football, basketball, bandy, gagaball, and different imaginative games. Ängaboskolan has many shared activities that utilize the area around the school. We are now seeking a primary school teacher for grades 4-6 who wants to work with us at Ängaboskolan. DUTIES In your role as a primary school teacher, you are well grounded in the primary school's mission and actively participate in pedagogical development work and collegial learning processes. During the spring term, you will primarily work as a class teacher in grade 5 and maintain close collaboration with colleagues in your teaching team. You work largely in collaboration with other educators in your team to plan, implement, and follow up on instruction based on the curriculum. Together with your team, you are responsible for students' knowledge-based and social development. The position includes, among other things, creating conditions and motivation for each child's learning and development. You also work to continuously document and follow up on students' learning and development. Your daily work is characterized by the values and approaches described in Alingsås municipality's core values. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a certified primary school teacher with the qualifications to teach grades 4-6. We would like you to have broad qualifications that include mathematics, science, and technology, but other combinations may also be relevant. You are genuinely interested in the teaching profession and ideally have relevant prior experience for this role. You have a strong ability to build trust and positive interactions with students, guardians, and colleagues. As a teacher, you are confident and stable in your leadership and maintain a professional approach. You have good pedagogical insight and are responsive to students' individual needs, interests, and development, and you adapt your instruction accordingly. You are good at collaborating and contribute both in your team's work and in the school's systematic quality improvement efforts. You work in a structured manner, plan, and organize your work efficiently.
