Brandbergsskolan is a multicultural F-9 school in Haninge municipality with approximately 550 students. Our school consists of a two-parallel primary school F-9, a special education group, and adapted primary education with instruction in both subjects and subject areas. We strive to lay the foundation for lifelong learning and to give each student the opportunity to develop both academically and socially based on their individual circumstances.
We are now seeking a certified teacher for the grade 4-6 organization.
Your assignment
You will be a class teacher/mentor for a grade 6 class and teach mathematics, science subjects, and technology in grades 4-6. You plan, conduct, and evaluate instruction. You are responsible for assessment and documentation and maintain ongoing communication with students' guardians. You have experience using ICT in instruction. You are part of the grade 4-6 team and work closely with other teachers in the team. You have joint team meetings every week.
What we're looking for in you
We are seeking someone who is a confident and clear classroom leader with high expectations for all students. You have experience working in a compensatory manner and planning and implementing additional accommodations based on students' diverse needs. Knowledge of and experience working with students with NPF is advantageous.
It's important to us that you have a strong student perspective and are skilled at creating trusting relationships with students. You work in a structured way to promote safety, well-being, and good study environment and see collaboration as an integral part of your role. You enjoy working closely with colleagues, school leadership, and student support services, and you see the value of coordination between grade levels to create continuity in students' learning and a smooth transition between grades.
