Ref: 20261938 Job Responsibilities We are now looking for you who are a teacher for Grades K-3 at Island School! The focus is on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You will teach students in elementary grade 1 (all subjects except physical education) where you educate and support students in their social and academic development. You challenge students to take their own initiative, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. You will be part of a team with elementary teachers and teachers in the after-school program. In your role as a mentor, you have specific responsibility for your class. As a mentor, you are responsible for contact with the home and inform the student's guardians about the student's academic development through regular development meetings. Qualifications You who are applying are a licensed elementary teacher for Grades K-3. It is a merit if you have previously worked as a teacher. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical abilities and can therefore lead and organize your work to create a good study environment and learning atmosphere for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and with good knowledge and experience you work effectively with relevant digital tools.
