We are now seeking an elementary school teacher for after-school care at Västra School!
You will be part of our after-school care team working with grades F-3. As an elementary school teacher in after-school care with us, you will plan and deliver instruction and assess students in our after-school program. You will also plan and lead recess activities for students. Based on the curriculum and governing documents, we work together to create a safe environment in the after-school program that aims to strengthen our students in both their academic development and personal growth while providing them with meaningful leisure time. In the after-school program, we also strive to promote diverse contacts, social community, and strengthen group relationships. While our students are in school, you will collaborate with our school staff and you will also teach one or more subjects during the students' school time.
Together we create a program that meets our students and guardians in the best way based on their individual needs!
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a certified after-school care teacher. It is an advantage if you have previous experience in the profession.
You have good insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and apply these in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills that allow you to independently lead and organize your work to create a conducive study environment and good learning environment for our students throughout the day. Your teaching is modern and based on evidence-based research, you develop your work. To be a good fit as an elementary school teacher in after-school care with us, it is important that you have strong collaborative skills and are helpful and attentive to both colleagues and students.
