Ref: 20262009 Job Responsibilities Warm welcome to Lindängesskolan's adapted elementary school! You will work as an elementary teacher in after-school care during school hours and at one of our after-school care facilities. The role includes care for individual students and working with students with extensive motor and severe cognitive disabilities. You will work in close collaboration with other professional groups and functions at the school. Through your work, you contribute to promoting students' knowledge development together with others in your work team. Your responsibilities include supporting the student in communication, schoolwork, and providing support and care in all daily situations. Students' needs vary and typically include physical, social, and psychological needs. This may involve helping with socialization and communication with peers and adults, assistance during meals, dressing, hygiene during toilet visits, help with transfers from wheelchairs to standing frames, medication administration, tube feeding, and various forms of inhalation therapy and breathing exercises. During school hours, you are part of a work team and tasks are led by a teacher with specialized competence. You participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating pedagogical work based on the school's governing documents. At the after-school facility, you also participate in a development group responsible for the facility's long-term development toward seven long-term goals. You base your work on students' needs and interests to create a safe and accessible learning environment. Qualifications You are a certified elementary teacher in after-school care. Previous experience working as an elementary teacher in after-school care at an adapted elementary school is considered a merit. You should have experience with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC), such as visual supports and TAKK. It is necessary that you have good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. You have good knowledge of and insight into the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. You are creative and can adapt your approach and pedagogical methods based on individual student or group needs. You develop pedagogical activities to be enjoyable, inspiring, and challenging. We expect you to see each student from a holistic perspective, have a positive view of students, and create good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. As a person, you are calm, stable, and attentive, with the ability to create a safe environment for students. You are experienced in working independently and making decisions, but can also lead and collaborate within a work team. Working with our students means that no two days are alike. Daily circumstances determine what demands and activities work, and our students also have care needs during the school day, such as medication administration and tube feeding.
