DUTIES As an elementary school teacher in after-school care, you will, among other things: • plan, implement, follow up, and develop instruction in the after-school program based on the curriculum and governing documents • create varied and meaningful activities that promote students' learning, development, creativity, physical activity, and social interaction • actively work with students' safety, relationships, participation, and influence • design activities and learning environments based on students' needs, interests, and circumstances • contribute to the after-school program's systematic quality work and development • document, follow up, and make visible the after-school program's instruction and activities • collaborate with other staff in the after-school program, teachers, student support services, and school leadership • cooperate and communicate with parents/guardians • contribute to a smooth transition and continuity between the school day and after-school program • actively participate in the school's collective work, meetings, and development processes • contribute your expertise during the school day according to the activities' and students' needs. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who: • have good knowledge of the after-school program's mission, curriculum, and other governing documents • can plan, implement, follow up, and develop instruction in the after-school program • have the ability to translate the goals of governing documents into meaningful and varied activities for students • have a relational approach and the ability to create safety, trust, and good relationships with students • actively work for students' participation and influence • have good collaboration skills and can work together with colleagues, teachers, student support services, school leadership, and parents/guardians • are proactive and want to actively contribute to the development of the after-school program's activities • have the ability to reflect on, follow up, and develop your own and the organization's practice • see the after-school program as part of students' entire school day and contribute to the school's collective development • express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing.
