Ref: 20261912 Job Responsibilities Would you like to make a difference? Would you like to receive regular professional development during work time? Would you like to work thematically? Would you like to teach both in school and in the after-school program? Would you like to be part of a driven and engaging team? Professional Development As an elementary teacher in the after-school program at Rörsjösskolan, you will receive scheduled professional development tailored to those working in our after-school program. The training is based on the needs of our students and the skills you and your colleagues wish to develop. During the 26/27 school year, we collaborate with the Teaching Support Unit to drive Language Development for our after-school program. Thematic Work At Rörsjösskolan, you and your colleagues will build the pedagogical work in the after-school program based on our thematic yearly cycle. We follow a shared structure built on planning, implementation, and analysis. For us, Lgr 22 is a natural foundation in our after-school program teaching. Teaching As an elementary teacher in the after-school program, you are one of our driving contributors in translating theory into practice. Based on your competence and experience, you will have your own scheduled teaching time each week during school hours and of course during our after-school program time. Mentorship At Rörsjösskolan, we have, among others, a special education teacher directly connected to the grade level you work in. This means you and your colleagues have access to regular mentorship. Driven and Engaging Team At Rörsjösskolan, the team is important. A team at Rörsjösskolan includes everyone in the grade level who meets the students. We have weekly scheduled team meetings where you as an elementary teacher meet with your colleagues—teachers, elementary teachers in the after-school program, and teacher assistants—to discuss our shared work with our students. Through working together, we create a pleasant and happy workplace where we and our students build each student's best school. An important part of working at Rörsjösskolan is that we believe it is important to have fun at work. Together, we create drive with and for each other. We support and listen to each other. We see ourselves all as equally important puzzle pieces in the work that happens at our school. Do you feel you can contribute to making our school even better? Qualifications We are looking for you who are a certified elementary teacher in the after-school program and who have experience being the link between school hours and after-school program activities. You are familiar with the school's and after-school program's mission and can lead activities based on the curriculum and our governing documents. We want you to have the ability to adapt teaching and activities so students succeed based on their circumstances. You should be flexible and able to adapt when facing new situations. You should be a good communicator, able to handle stressful situations, and see the work as a wonderful challenge. It is important to us that you see children from a full-day perspective. Of course, you are a positive person who takes responsibility for both your part and the whole in what you do. The same applies to contact with guardians and others you encounter in your work. To be a good fit as an elementary teacher with us, we believe you have the ability to take initiative and drive things forward. We also believe you can inspire others and are confident, both in yourself and in your professional role. Of course, you have a professional approach and work for good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at school.
