Since May 2026, we're owned by Altor. Read more about us at Sertion.com THE ASSIGNMENT As we grow and acquire more companies, we're also developing our finance function to meet higher demands. We have a foundation – now we need someone who takes full operational responsibility for group accounting and drives it forward. As Group Financial Controller, you own the entire chain of group accounting and reporting in a group with 38 legal entities across three – soon four – countries. It's not just about delivering correct figures, but about building the processes and structures that make us efficient and predictable, even as we continue to grow. More specifically, the assignment includes: Owning and developing the group's reporting and closing processes, from how data is reported and books are closed each month, to ensuring correct accounting setup when a new company joins. Building relationships with subsidiaries and being the person they turn to with accounting questions: Support, explain, and help them report correctly. Driving the consolidation work and ensuring the numbers are correct, including eliminations of intercompany balances, currency effects, acquisition accounting, and goodwill. Being part of our ongoing implementation of IBM Controller (Cognos) and shaping how we work with group accounting going forward You report to the Group Finance Manager and are based in Stockholm. WHO YOU ARE This is a role for you who enjoys operational ownership and who gets energy from creating structure in a rapidly changing environment. If you thrive and succeed in this assignment, you are: Trusted and experienced in group accounting You have an academic background in finance and have worked with accounting for at least five years, including at least three years in group accounting. This makes you comfortable with consolidation, preparing financial statements, and navigating complex legal structures in a group with many companies. You've worked in a consolidation system and have a genuine interest in how systems and reporting structures are built. It's a plus if you also have a background from an audit firm, experience with project accounting, and good knowledge of IFRS. Calm and methodical In a group that grows rapidly and continuously acquires new companies, it's inevitable that data sometimes doesn't match. You're used to going back and sorting things out, without losing focus on what's actually material. In other words, you know the difference between what needs to be addressed now and what can wait. Relationship-building and pedagogical The role involves ongoing contact with subsidiaries in three countries with very different accounting cultures and system experience. You build trust naturally and have the ability to adapt your communication to meet different operations' circumstances. At the same time, you can explain why the group's requirements exist in a way that creates understanding rather than resistance – both in Swedish and English. A doer What defines Sertion most of all is entrepreneurship and the desire to build something. You don't need ready-made frameworks to move forward; you take your own initiative and create order along the way without needing detailed direction. At the same time, you respect what the companies have already built and understand that at Sertion, things get done through trust – not through hierarchy or formal mandates. You're down-to-earth, unpretentious, and thrive in an environment where there's room to breathe and people help each other. AIM'S REFLECTIONS It's rare that you get to step into a group that's growing at this pace. Sertion is in an expansive phase with continued high acquisition activity and a new owner in Altor. The finance function is now undergoing exciting development as the company grows. This is a building assignment, not a maintenance one. The person recruited will step into a function with a clear direction but without ready answers. It requires someone who is confident enough to create order in motion, and driven enough to want to do it. We see strong potential for the right candidate: An own area of responsibility with direct impact and close dialogue with the entire organization.
