We plan, build, and manage with a focus on sustainability, quality, and holistic thinking. Our mission includes property management, public spaces, water and sewerage, and meal services. We are now seeking a Green Infrastructure Strategist for our Public Spaces division. The Public Spaces division is responsible for planning, development, operations, and management of the municipality's public environments – such as streets, squares, parks, playgrounds, walking and cycling paths, and other socially important infrastructure. We work both strategically and operatively to create safe, functional, and attractive environments that contribute to a sustainable and growing Enköping. You'll become part of the division's strategic expertise in urban planning, traffic, mobility, parks, nature, and green infrastructure. Together we work through the entire urban development process – from early analysis and planning questions to implementation, monitoring, and long-term development. We provide qualified analyses and decision-making support and play an important role in the municipality's planning, development, and growth initiatives. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS As a strategist, you'll have a central role in developing Enköping's public spaces. The assignment encompasses strategic urban planning with a focus on parks, green infrastructure, nature, stormwater, and the built outdoor environment. You'll be an important representative of the Department of Technology and Services in detail planning and development processes and contribute to translating the municipality's goals into sustainable, functional, and attractive living environments. The role involves broad strategic responsibility where you work with analyses, planning documents, development issues, and decision processes. You collaborate with colleagues within the municipality, political decision-makers, consultants, developers, authorities, and other external stakeholders. You serve as an expert in your field and contribute to developing the municipality's work methods and long-term planning. You'll also be an important part of the department's continued development where GIS, digitalization, data analysis, and artificial intelligence are used to strengthen analytical capacity, planning, and decision-making. In the role, you will, among other things: • drive and develop strategic questions within the division's area of responsibility • participate in the urban development process and represent the department in internal and external contexts • develop analyses, strategies, investigations, and decision-making support to guide the division's development • contribute to long-term planning, development, and prioritization of investments and development initiatives • provide qualified support to managers, projects, and operations within your area of expertise • commission, lead, and follow up on assignments carried out by consultants or other external actors • collaborate with colleagues, authorities, developers, and other partners to develop operations • contribute to the development of work methods, approaches, and digital solutions with support from, for example, GIS, data analysis, and AI. QUALIFICATIONS You have a higher education degree as a landscape architect or another academic education that the employer deems equivalent, such as landscape engineer, urban planning, physical planning, or civil engineer. You have at least five years of experience with qualified work in the urban development field, preferably in a municipality or other politically governed organization. You must have experience with: • strategic urban planning • detail planning and development processes • parks, green infrastructure, nature, or public spaces • qualified investigative work • development of memoranda and decision-making support • work in politically governed organizations • GIS and geographical analysis • commissioning and managing consultant assignments • operations development and change management. You have good digital skills and an interest in how digitalization, GIS, data, and AI can contribute to better analyses and more efficient work methods. A driver's license (category B) is required. We're looking for someone who is analytical, solution-oriented, and sees the big picture in complex urban development issues. You work in a structured manner, take responsibility, and drive matters independently. You find it easy to build trusting relationships, communicate clearly, and enjoy working with many different contacts. A development-oriented perspective and a desire to contribute to sustainable solutions and the development of Enköping's public spaces are important in this role.
