Our approximately 30 employees are spread across the country and work together using digital tools. We are part of the District Veterinarians' emergency organization and provide service, security, and accessibility regardless of who is calling. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are now looking for a border control officer for the emergency hotline 9900. The position involves specialist responsibility in the field of animal imports and border control, where you serve as the District Veterinarians' expert support in matters concerning animal imports to Sweden. You are based at one of our clinics, but it is possible to work remotely (from home) depending on the nature of the work tasks. The District Veterinarians are responsible, on behalf of the Swedish Board of Agriculture, for handling animal import cases outside regular office hours. As a border control officer, you work closely with the Board of Agriculture's animal import unit and are an important link between the Customs Authority, the Swedish Board of Agriculture, and the District Veterinarians in daily operations. Your main work tasks consist of: · Processing and preparing cases in the animal import field. · Drawing up decisions and administering documentation according to applicable regulations. · Being a contact person toward the Swedish Board of Agriculture and the Customs Authority. · Providing support and guidance to employees within 9900 in matters concerning animal imports and border control. · Planning and conducting internal training and skills development in the field. · Contributing to the development of work methods, procedures, and quality assurance of operations. The work is primarily administrative and requires that you can independently interpret regulations, make assessments, and communicate decisions in a clear and professional manner. You work closely with colleagues within 9900 but also have many external contact points. As a person, you are organized, thorough, and quality-conscious. You enjoy taking responsibility for a specialist area and have the ability to translate complex information into clear instructions and guidance for others. The position is permanent with a scope of 50% (with the possibility of combining the position with work as a coordinator on the emergency hotline 9900) QUALIFICATIONS You have: · High school diploma or equivalent knowledge · Post-secondary education in veterinary care, animal care, biology, agronomy, zoology, public administration, or other education that the employer deems relevant for the position. · Experience with administrative case handling or work where regulations and documentation form a central part of the work tasks. · Very good computer skills and the ability to use different computer systems. · Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written · Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written. Meritorious: · Experience in case handling within public operations or public administration. · Knowledge of national and international regulations related to animal imports. · Experience with work in animal health, disease control, or animal welfare issues. · Experience in training, coaching, or introducing employees. · Experience with the District Veterinarians' and the Swedish Board of Agriculture's IT systems. Tests and assessments may be used during the selection process to measure qualifications and competencies. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal skills. Salary form: Monthly salary.
