ACCOUNTANT (profession code 3313 01) for a fixed-term position

Key job responsibilities:
- Perform accounting operations in cash and non-cash payment forms in the municipality's cash office;
- Make entries in the G-vedis accounting software;
- Perform daily cash reconciliations, prepare necessary reports, statements, extracts, and inventory lists;
- Calculate co-financing fees from parents of music and art schools, calculate municipal apartment rent and utility payments; send corresponding invoices;
- Prepare invoices for other municipal paid services;
- Perform accounts receivable accounting, posting, and reconciliation, issue invoices;
- Perform accounts payable accounting;
- Conduct regular checks of accounting account balances, perform reconciliations;
- Prepare and submit reports on VAT registered receipts and tickets issued;
- Participate in inventory counts and annual report preparation.
Requirements for candidates:
- Higher education in accounting, economics, or finance;
- Preferred experience in accounting at state or municipal budget institutions;
- Excellent digital skills (MS Office); experience with SIA "ZZ-dats" programs LIETVARIS and G-VEDIS may be considered an advantage;
- Knowledge of accounting regulations and ability to apply them;
- Analytical thinking, accuracy, and strong sense of responsibility;
- Ability to effectively plan and organize your work;
- Ability to quickly assess situations and make informed decisions;
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills;
- Fluent state language skills at the highest level.
