Strong brands that all contribute to making Gothenburg perceived as an attractive and exciting city to live in, work in and visit. We also organize - together with Svenska Ridsportförbundet - Gothenburg Horse Show, which is one of the world's premier indoor equestrian competitions. Each year, approximately 2 million people visit about 400 sports and entertainment events at one of our arenas. In addition, we welcome almost half a million swimming visitors annually to Valhallabadet. We are approximately 160 employees and about 600 hourly workers who give their all to create good conditions for staging world-class events. We like to say that we help create magical moments! The company generates approximately 300 million kronor in revenue, we conduct active environmental work and we are environmentally certified. Your Assignment We are seeking an engaged and experienced Head of Finance and Operations Management for Gothenburg's iconic meeting places. As head of department, you have overall responsibility for the company's financial and economic management as well as for developing processes within finance, procurement and purchasing, administration, internal controls and strategic sustainability work. You create quality, transparency and good decision-making foundations. You develop key metrics, analyses, calculations and management models that help management and operations prioritize correctly and improve the company's results. You are a close strategic support to the CEO and an active partner to the operations managers. You lead a team of 10 employees, report to the CEO, are part of the management group and serve as secretary of the company's board. There you contribute to the bigger picture and create financial foresight for future investments and changes. Your Main Areas of Responsibility You lead and develop work on analysis, follow-up and reporting and ensure that management, the board and the owner have relevant decision-making foundations. You lead, motivate and develop the department's employees and drive a proactive and operations-oriented approach. Your assignment includes, among other things: - Lead the company's budget and investment process and contribute with financial foresight in larger arena and development projects - Develop calculation and follow-up of events, investments and other major commitments - Develop management models, key metrics and decision-making foundations that strengthen business acumen and operational results - Manage the procurement and purchasing function and ensure business-minded, sustainable and legally sound practices - Manage risk analysis, internal controls and regulatory compliance - Manage the company's archives, records and overall administrative governance - Lead the company's digital operations development with a focus on efficiency and value creation - Lead the follow-up of long-term political goals and the company's strategic sustainability work - Serve as board secretary and ensure well-prepared decision-making foundations and a professional board process. Who Are You? You are an experienced and development-oriented finance leader who looks beyond the traditional finance function. You combine solid financial expertise with operational understanding and have the ability to make complex finance understandable, relevant and useful to others. We are looking for you who have: - Relevant academic education in finance or equivalent - Many years of experience with qualified finance and operations management in a larger or complex organization - Several years of management experience with personnel, operations and financial responsibility - Documented experience with budgeting, forecasting, analysis, reporting, financial statements and annual reports - Experience developing management models, key metrics and decision-making foundations - Good knowledge of internal controls, risk management, procurement and purchasing - Good digital competence - Understanding of corporate governance and work close to the board and owner - Excellent communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. - Experience from politically governed operations is a merit, as is experience of larger investment or development projects. You lead based on trust, give employees responsibility and support and build a department that is perceived as competent, accessible and solution-oriented. You are analytical and strategic, but also pragmatic and action-oriented. With integrity and good judgment you build confidence and good relationships. You communicate finance in a way that makes it understandable and contribute with initiatives and holistic thinking in the management group.
