About the Position Personal assistance is a service provided under LSS (the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). As a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that comes up in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributes to making everyday life run smoothly. Each assistance is uniquely tailored to the client's life, so work tasks may vary depending on the workplace. The client is a cheerful 19-year-old woman living in Borlänge. She now needs more assistants on her team to experience new adventures and activities with. The client has an intellectual disability and some weakness in muscle strength. The client's interests include cooking, makeup, socializing with friends, and playing games. Who Are You? The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and takes responsibility. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you as an assistant and the client. For this position, you must have: previous experience with similar work good Swedish language skills a driver's license (category B) For this position, it is meriting if you: have education in healthcare and nursing, e.g., nursing assistant, registered nurse have previous experience with tube feeding have previous experience with mobility assistance have previous experience with intellectual disabilities or ADHD share one of the client's interests Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Work Hours, Employment Rate, and Salary The current employment form is "hourly employment," which means work as needed with varying hours during day, evening, and night. Before the temporary hourly position starts, you will undergo a paid introduction/training period. During the introductory period, you will receive a fixed-term hourly employment agreement with a set end date. For the right person, there are good opportunities for a fixed schedule in the long term. Work hours are 08:00-20:00 and 20:00-08:00 with active time around the clock. You as an applicant need to be able to work both day and night shifts. Weekend work occurs. Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement.
