JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a Street and Park Engineer, you will work with planning, monitoring, and developing the operation. The role is broad and offers great opportunities to influence the municipality's future development in both streets and parks as well as vehicle coordination. You work closely with the technical manager and work leaders as well as operations staff. You work with planning, coordination, and development of the municipality's streets, parks, and public spaces. The assignment includes developing, monitoring, and improving maintenance plans as well as planning and monitoring the operation's summer and winter maintenance. The work includes park and green space maintenance, winter road maintenance, and operation and maintenance of the municipality's public spaces. The role also includes: • Processing traffic arrangement plans (TA-plans) • Working with local traffic regulations • Participating in pavement planning and street matters • Responsibility for issues related to street lighting • Processing applications for use of public land • Handling incident reports and feedback from residents • Preparing service documents, supporting documentation, and records • You have ongoing contact with residents, contractors, authorities, and the municipality's operations as well as work closely with work leaders and the technical manager in developing the operation. The position also includes coordination and development of the municipality's vehicle fleet. Work tasks include: • Handling damage claims and insurance matters • Inventory of vehicles and machinery • Planning vehicle replacement • Monitoring service, inspections, and contracts • Analysis and improvement of vehicle operations • Coordination for an efficient and sustainable vehicle fleet QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has: • Post-secondary education in, for example, urban development, parks, landscape, roads and water, or other education that the employer deems equivalent • Good administrative ability • Experience in planning, monitoring, or project management • Good computer skills and experience with digital operations systems • Class B driver's license It is a merit if you have experience in municipal operations, street and park management, traffic matters, or vehicle administration. Employment type: Fixed-term employment. Duration, start date: 2026-10-26, end date: 2027-09-13. Working hours: Daytime.
