Make a difference. Every day. The Spinal Cord Injury Unit at Skånes University Hospital (Sus) is one of Sweden's leading providers of spinal cord injury care and rehabilitation. We have been entrusted by the National Board of Health and Welfare to serve as one of four nationally highly specialized units and have expanded our operations to receive more patients from a larger part of the country. We meet patients of all ages who have suffered spinal cord injuries or other injuries requiring acute-phase rehabilitation due to trauma or illness. Patients come to us to receive help in becoming independent within their new life circumstances. In April 2023, we opened an acute-phase rehabilitation medicine unit at the top of Blocket in Lund with fantastic views. Our newly renovated facilities create conditions for an inspiring environment where patient care of the highest quality is in focus. The unit complements the well-established operations currently located at Orupssjukhuset outside Höör. 1 position(s). DUTIES We welcome you as a physical therapist who wants to be part of us and our unit! In this role, you will work at the rehabilitation unit in Lund. Certain parts of the position, particularly aspects of the introduction and certain training occasions, may be held at Orupssjukhuset in Höör. With us, you work closely in an interdisciplinary team where everyone focuses on the patient and their needs. In your role as a physical therapist, you will work with assessment and clinical activity and functional training. We have a training room on the ward in Lund to facilitate and motivate our patients toward activity. Your employment will begin with guided introduction, on-the-job training, and education in Rehabilitation Medicine, and we also have collaboration with relevant acute care within Sus and our units at Orupssjukhuset. You also have great opportunities to participate in continuing education, training activities, and research. We receive students within all professions and conduct multidisciplinary research at Lund and Malmö Universities. In the long term, we plan to open more care beds, and we would like to see that you are interested and engaged in developing our operations. For many years, we have worked systematically on quality through the accreditation organization Commission of Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), which sets high demands on procedures and continuous improvement work. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you as a licensed physical therapist with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. You have Swedish language proficiency at a minimum level of C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. Experience in neurological rehabilitation is an advantage. If you also have experience in interdisciplinary teamwork and rehabilitation methodology, we view that as an advantage. Since we work closely with patients and their families and very closely together in teams, it is important that you are comfortable collaborating and cooperating with the people around you. You have a desire to work patient-centered with a holistic perspective and easily connect with actors in the patient's care chain. As a person, you are a team player who easily sees solutions and enjoys patient-centered work. You have good pedagogical ability, easily take your own initiative, are engaged, and contribute to a good working climate.
