Job description
We offer a permanent employment where you will primarily work with patients admitted to a neurological inpatient ward consisting of a stroke unit and a section with general neurological focus. Several physiotherapists collaborate on assignments at the clinic and a smaller part within specialized outpatient care may also occur. In neurological inpatient care, great emphasis is placed on person-centered team collaboration. As a physiotherapist in inpatient care, you work with function and activity assessment, draw up rehabilitation plans together with the patient and initiate rehabilitation while the patient is admitted to the hospital. The work is often done in close collaboration with an occupational therapist colleague. The physiotherapist's assessment is an important part of planning for discharge. You will participate in team rounds and contribute with information to plan a safe discharge.

The rehabilitation team is part of Movement and Health, which is part of Primary Care in central Östergötland. In autumn 2026, a merger between the rehabilitation team and the rehabilitation unit at Linköping University Hospital is underway. In the new organization, we will be approximately 50 physiotherapists, occupational therapists and social workers with assignments within internal medicine clinics at Linköping University Hospital. Movement and Health is a university healthcare unit with active researchers within several professions and the operation is characterized by a developing climate. We offer skills development and continuous learning is important to us.
