Job Responsibilities In your role as a physical therapist at Habiliteringen in Köping, you'll be one of five physical therapists in our two teams. You'll also work closely with other professionals in the teams consisting of occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, social workers, special education teachers, psychologists, and a dietitian. Services are provided both individually and in groups, where we see the combined professional expertise around the patient as the strength for the best possible treatment. In the work within our teams, you'll provide services to our patients with the goal of facilitating their living conditions. As a physical therapist, you help patients by adapting everyday situations based on their various disabilities and individual needs. You provide suggestions on strategies that prevent, improve, and compensate for reduced motor ability/development, movement conditions, prevent complications, and compensate for functional limitations. The work includes documentation and prescription of assistive devices. This is a position for you who seeks independent and varied work where you can develop through a patient-centered approach and with an interprofessional working method as the foundation. The work also includes coaching and supporting the network around the patient. The work also involves collaboration with healthcare neighbors and various authorities, such as pediatric clinics, health centers, psychiatry, and municipal activities. About the Workplace Habiliteringen is a specialist operation within Region Västmanland with the mission to provide people with disabilities the conditions to live a good life. The goal of our work is to facilitate daily life and create conditions for participation in society. The services we provide complement the support provided by other institutions in society. Here in Köping, you work with patients across all diagnoses and thus gain broad knowledge and experience. We work daytime hours with planned activities and we meet our patients both at the clinic and in their everyday environments such as preschool/school, home, and/or workplace. We work in functional and pleasant facilities that are well adapted to our activities and we have the forest right outside the door. Perfect for a shared lunch walk. The unit has approximately 25 employees and we have 2 unit managers who share leadership with us, which means they are often available to us in our daily work. We have a good introduction program to help you feel comfortable in your role with us, which includes access to a clinical supervisor and a team mentor. We also have regular professional meetings for collegial collaboration and development as well as the opportunity to observe colleagues in other teams in the county. Köping is located on the western shore of Lake Mälaren with commuting distance from other cities in the Mälardalen region and Örebro. Habiliteringen is located at Köping Hospital, a three-minute walk from the train station. If you also have work experience in rehabilitation work and/or work with people with disabilities, we see that as a merit. We consider it a plus if you have experience managing and leading group activities as well as working in a consultative capacity. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of the Swedish language. You are confident, stable, and flexible. You adapt easily to new circumstances. You take responsibility for your work tasks and organize your work efficiently on your own, while working well in a team with other people where you contribute constructively. You like to take your own initiatives for activities and achieve results, while you are also good at prioritizing in your areas of responsibility. You are clear in your communication and engaged in individual meetings as well as in larger groups. The work is flexible and in addition to visits at the clinic, some work takes place in the person's immediate environment which may include home visits or school visits. We therefore see that you have a driver's license (category B). Employment Terms We are seeking a physical therapist for a 1-year temporary position. Full-time, daytime hours.
