Welcome to us Are you a physical therapist with experience in pediatric habilitation and want to work in a small team for a limited period? Then this job is for you! Stockholm Habilitation Unit serves children with motor functional limitations ages 2 - 6 years. Children receive intensive habilitation two days per week in groups of five children. Children come to the unit together with a pedagogue from preschool. During the week, the unit receives two child groups. Children are referred from the Region's Habilitation Center, which transfers habilitation responsibility during one or more training periods (terms). You can read more about us on our website. The habilitation unit is centrally located on Kungsholmen with good access to public transportation. This position is a temporary contract and you will be employed on a fixed-term basis. We offer Fun and varied work in close collaboration with the rest of the team; consisting of an occupational therapist, a speech-language pathologist, a physical therapist and two special educators. Wellness allowance in proportion to employment period, read more about the city's benefits here Your role You will work together with other professionals and be responsible for treatment based on your professional role for some of the children in the group. You are responsible for setting goals for children's treatment based on your expertise, planning games and activities to work toward the goals and continuously follow them up. Your tasks include leading groups with children and their accompanying adults, planning and conducting individual sessions, coaching adults in the children's network, and organizing other habilitation services, such as preschool visits, home visits and assistive device testing. Stockholm Habilitation Unit is a small operation where everyone helps to make the unit function. This means you will also perform some tasks that are not directly related to your professional training. Since we are a small team, we place great emphasis on personal suitability. Your competence and experience We are looking for you who: • are a licensed physical therapist • have experience working with pediatric habilitation or other pediatric health care • are experienced in leading groups with children and accompanying adults • are responsible, flexible, creative and playful • have good teamwork skills and enjoy working in a team with others • have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing Your application We recruit without cover letters to focus on the competencies and experiences needed for the position.
