The Infectious Disease Clinic is a regional and county clinic with broad operations and the status of a University Hospital Unit. The clinic has a care ward with 19 beds and an outpatient department for acute and planned services. Inpatient care primarily consists of acute care within infectious diseases. The clinic strives to provide equitable care based on each patient's individual needs. Patients and their families should feel involved in the care they receive. Patient safety and a good work environment are key priorities. The care ward treats patients being evaluated or treated for various infections. Conditions such as sepsis (blood poisoning), pneumonia, pyelonephritis, skin and soft tissue infections, intestinal infections, influenza, infective endocarditis, and tuberculosis are common. Patients often have other diagnoses that necessitate hospital care, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and various neuromuscular disorders. We are now seeking a physiotherapist who wants to strengthen our team and be an important part of providing our patients with excellent care. 1 position(s). RESPONSIBILITIES As a Physiotherapist with us, you contribute to taking good care of others and helping people feel better. You will contribute your specific expertise to our care ward with the patient at the center. You will make your own assessments and have a physiotherapist colleague to consult with, and you will perform interventions primarily directed at relieving difficulties resulting from the patient's infectious disease; for example, mobilization and breathing exercises. You will instruct and train patients in walking and transfer techniques and fit assistive devices. You will also collaborate with other physiotherapists within other services to maintain a functioning care pathway for the patient. You work closely and in collaboration with both physiotherapists and occupational therapists, but also closely with discharge nurses in planning to ensure the patient can safely and securely return home. Together, you develop your work with other professional groups. Your role also includes educating and supporting staff in maintaining function and rehabilitation approaches. QUALIFICATIONS For this role, you need to be a licensed physiotherapist with a drive for professional development in collaboration with the broader service. We prefer that you have several years of professional experience, but we also welcome newly graduated applicants to submit your application. The position requires that you can work independently, prioritize, and make assessments from a holistic patient perspective. It is an advantage to have a broad foundation in your profession and experience working in teams. Good collaboration skills are essential. We collaborate and support each other across clinic boundaries. You are positive about change initiatives that add value for patients and the service, and you take responsibility for continuously developing clinically applied physiotherapy.
