About the position Maxitech is seeking a self-directed full stack developer for an assignment with a public sector organization. The role involves comprehensive responsibility for further development, maintenance, and operations of an established digital platform with multiple user roles and complex data relationships. As a developer, you will work across the entire development chain – from frontend and backend to databases, integrations, and basic DevOps. The assignment is ideal for you if you are a versatile developer who can quickly get up to speed with an existing codebase, prioritize independently, and switch between new development, troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance. This is a consulting assignment through Maxitech with an initial assignment period from September through February 2027. The assignment is entirely remote and encompasses approximately 40 percent capacity. There is an opportunity for extension for two additional periods of six months each. What we offer • A flexible part-time assignment completed entirely remotely • A broad and business-focused role with responsibility for the entire development chain • The opportunity to work with an established platform used by multiple user groups • Great freedom to independently plan and prioritize your work • Experience in development within public and community-beneficial operations Responsibilities The role includes, among other things: • Develop new features in both frontend and backend • Maintain, improve, and further develop the existing codebase • Troubleshoot and fix issues in code, database, and server environments • Handle operations-related tasks and basic DevOps work • Support the team on technical and IT-related matters • Create statistics, reports, exports, and other data documentation • Work with API integrations, permissions, and user roles • Contribute to ensuring the platform meets relevant accessibility requirements Your profile We are seeking a developer who has: • At least 1–3 years of relevant systems development experience • Experience with full stack development • Strong knowledge of PHP, Laravel, and MySQL • Experience with Blade, Livewire, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, and Tailwind • Understanding of system architecture, databases, and operational environments • Basic knowledge of accessible web development • Experience with Git and version control • Basic knowledge of Linux/Ubuntu and Bash • Experience with API integrations • Fluent Swedish in speech and writing Meritorious experience includes: • SAML2 or other external authentication solutions • Laravel queues, scheduled jobs, and background processes • Report, statistics, and export functions • GDPR and personal data management • Systems with many user roles and permission levels • Development and maintenance of learning platforms or similar operational systems As a person, you are structured, solution-oriented, and self-directed. The role requires a strong ability to understand existing systems, prioritize between different needs, and drive work forward with minimal supervision. Collaboration skills and a business-focused perspective are also important, as the role provides technical support to other parts of the team.
