Our client develops portfolio management and reporting systems for banks and financial institutions in the Nordic region. This is software where data quality, security, and performance are not nice-to-haves but requirements. The company is in a scaling phase and is heavily investing in AI to transform how they build and operate software. Here you write production code that's actually used, in a team of ~10+ engineers who take engineering seriously: security-tested, ISO27001-certified, and with direct contact to end customers. About the Role We're looking for a fullstack developer with an AI engineering focus for their Stockholm office. You build features across backend and frontend, and use AI tools to make the team faster and better at delivering. This is a hands-on role. You write production code, build real features, and apply AI where it makes a real difference – not because it looks good in a pitch. What You'll Work On Build and maintain features in backend and frontend Develop AI-assisted workflows for development, testing, and operations Work with microservice architecture, particularly performance-critical reporting services Contribute to API design and integrations with banking partners Collaborate across Backend, Frontend, Platform, and QA Tech Stack Backend: Java, TypeScript, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Kafka, event-driven architecture Frontend: Angular SPA Infra: Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm, GitHub Actions AI: AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) Other: Swagger/OpenAPI, Liquibase, feature flags Qualifications Must-Have: 3+ years of fullstack experience with production systems Strong Java and backend competency Hands-on experience with AI engineering tools (Claude Code, Codex, or similar) Understanding of event-driven architecture and relational databases Comfortable in regulated domains where correctness is critical Experience with or strong interest in autonomous agents and AI-assisted dev workflows Nice-to-Have: Fintech or financial services background Kubernetes and cloud-native deployment Microservice architecture Experience with AI agent frameworks As a Person You deliver working software, not prototypes. You're pragmatic about AI – you know when it helps and when it just adds complexity. You're comfortable solving problems as they come up, collaborate naturally with others, and catch issues early instead of in production. Why This Role?
