Working in Hörby Municipality: Hörby Municipality, with approximately 15,700 residents, is located in the heart of Scania. Frostaskolan consists of units F-6 with after-school care and 7-9. Approximately 500 students attend the school. In 2029, the upper secondary level will move to a newly constructed school to be built on the Frostaskolan school grounds. Frostaskolan's activities are characterized by inclusion, safety, knowledge, and confidence in the future. DUTIES We are seeking a teacher at 50% capacity with certification to teach Swedish as a Second Language. Your main responsibilities this school year will be teaching grade 3 students Swedish as a Second Language. You will work closely with relevant classroom teachers and our other Swedish as a Second Language teacher. You work directly with students and provide support in their schoolwork, both in terms of knowledge and in helping them find effective strategies, structure, and motivation. This position suits you if you enjoy working closely with students, can create clarity in your teaching, and want to help students achieve better conditions for success in school. As a teacher, you plan, conduct, and follow up on your instruction based on the current curriculum and course syllabi. You motivate and inspire students to learn and support them in their academic and social development. You work inclusively and view collaboration with colleagues, student services, and school leadership as a natural part of your role. QUALIFICATIONS • You have a teacher's degree with certification to teach Swedish as a Second Language. • It is an advantage if you have experience teaching this subject. • You have a strong ability to adapt your teaching based on students' different needs and circumstances. • You have excellent collaboration skills and are responsive, building trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/guardians. • You demonstrate clear and secure leadership in your teaching and are a positive role model. • You are engaged and focused on what is best for the students.
