Do you want to develop modern and accessible web solutions that make a difference for society? We are now seeking a frontend developer for a temporary position at 80% during the period October 1, 2026 to January 31, 2027, while one of our valued colleagues takes parental leave. Here you will work in an engaged development team where technology, collaboration, and user experience are in focus.
We work with what everyone takes for granted. Being able to communicate. With us, you ensure it works now and in the future. For everyone.
The Business Development Department is responsible for operations, management, system, business, and process development. We develop and maintain both custom-developed solutions and standard systems and are responsible for PTS's IT systems, websites, and e-services. Here, developers, administrators, project managers, requirements analysts, and other specialists work together in cross-functional teams.
My name is Paula Fagerlund, and I will be your manager. I believe in trust over control and that good solutions are created together. As a manager, I am clear about direction and expectations, but provide considerable room for personal responsibility, new ideas, and different perspectives. I appreciate when people dare to think innovatively, question established practices, and find smarter ways to solve tasks. To me, leadership is something we do in everyday work, through dialogue, collaboration, and shared responsibility for the whole.
About the role
As a frontend developer, you will become part of a small development team with 3–5 people where you together develop and further develop modern web solutions with React. You participate throughout the development process – from analysis and solution design to implementation and further development.
You work on integrating frontend with internal and external APIs and also contribute to development in C#, code review, testing, and shared code bases. The role involves close collaboration with both developer colleagues and the business through meetings and workshops. An important part of the assignment is also to develop accessible digital services according to WCAG.
The role suits you if you enjoy solving complex problems where all answers are not always given. Since the team is small, you need to be flexible, take responsibility, and appreciate close collaboration where you together develop both technology and working methods.
About the team
The unit is responsible for IT service development and works with both development and management of PTS digital solutions. Here, developers, administrators, project managers, and requirements analysts work together in small teams with broad expertise and great commitment. The culture is characterized by collaboration, knowledge sharing, and an unpretentious approach where we help each other to create high-quality solutions.
About you
To thrive and succeed in this role, you are collaboration-oriented and appreciate working closely with others to find the best solutions. You are creative and enjoy solving problems in new ways while being self-driven and taking responsibility for moving your work forward. You communicate clearly and contribute to good collaboration both within the team and with the business. For us, your personal qualities are important, so we will place great emphasis on these.
We are looking for you who have:
Completed post-secondary education of at least 2 years in programming, for example from a university, college, or vocational college (YH).
Current several years of documented experience with frontend development with practical experience of React, HTML5, CSS, and version control in Git, as well as understanding of CI/CD flows.
Current experience building e-services
Current practical experience with Highcharts
Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
It is also meriting if you have:
Practical experience with UX.
Practical experience with Storybook.
Experience working at PTS or another emergency preparedness agency.
