Job Description
As a program leader at the probation service, you will be employed as a correctional program inspector and work with treatment programs for clients in the probation system. As a program inspector with a focus on programs, you will be part of a program team that works with probation clients. As an important part of the effort to prevent reoffending, the probation service in Jönköping conducts extensive program activities for clients.
The treatment programs are primarily based on cognitive behavioral therapy and learning theory.
The treatment offerings consist of both manual-based and flexible programs targeting criminal behavior, violence issues, and sexual and relationship violence. Programs are delivered with high quality and in accordance with evidence-based practice principles. The assignment is carried out by a highly committed program team with specialized program leadership expertise, and it is to this group we are now seeking new staff.
The diverse program offerings mean that you will simultaneously lead several different programs. In addition to leading programs, the program leader role includes administrative tasks. As a program leader, you are expected to complete the program leader training that is part of the assignment. It is important to actively work for good cooperation with other program leaders as well as with staff at prisons and within the probation service as a whole.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who is confident, stable, and has good self-awareness. You have a good understanding of how people acquire knowledge and adapt your way of communicating based on the recipient's circumstances. In your professional practice, you demonstrate good judgment and integrity. As a correctional program inspector, you need to have good collaboration skills and be able to communicate clearly. You must also be in good physical condition to act physically if the situation requires it.

We are looking for someone who has:
An academic degree (minimum bachelor's level), preferably in behavioral science, law, social work, or social sciences, or alternatively another academic education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service considers relevant
Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
Class B driver's license
It is also meritorious to have:
Other training with a treatment focus that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service considers relevant for the position
Well-documented work experience within corrections, social services, psychiatry, or care and welfare work
Current experience with client-focused treatment work
Experience with CBT-based interventions
Experience working with MI (Motivational Interviewing)
Experience with RisksNeedsResponsivity
Experience with case management, investigative work, and sentence planning
Relevant language skills
Good computer skills
