The school is located 6 km from central Boden, beautifully situated in Heden next to a small forest that is frequently used by the school. The school has two classes in each grade level and two afterschool care sections. Over many years, the school has designed and upgraded the work environment for both students and educators. The focus has been on creating spaces within spaces, so that the environment can function as an extra educator for the students, be easy to change, and at the same time increase work satisfaction for both students and educators. The outdoor environment, the generous school grounds, is also in constant development. The school has a well-functioning recess program with activities for the students. We want to give our students courage and competence to meet the opportunities and challenges of the future. JOB DUTIES As an afterschool educator/teacher, you are responsible for ensuring that instruction at the afterschool care facility is conducted in accordance with the goals in the curriculum. Each member of the work team shall promote all students' development and learning and offer each student safe care. You are expected to collaborate with other staff at the school, which is important for enriching students' learning. You have competence in, among other things, democratic concepts and approaches as well as social competence. By implementing these competencies in the daily work at afterschool care, you contribute to the facility's development. QUALIFICATIONS We are primarily looking for you who are trained as an afterschool educator or teacher with a focus on afterschool care. Those of you who have 60 higher education credits within pedagogy or equivalent are also welcome to apply for this position. If you are trained as an afterschool educator/teacher, you will be employed in the position of afterschool educator and are responsible for instruction at the afterschool facility. If you have 60 higher education credits within pedagogy or equivalent, you will be employed in the position of afterschool resource educator. As an afterschool educator/teacher, you have good pedagogical insights into children's differences, and you are also well acquainted with the school's and afterschool care facility's governing documents and systematic quality work. We are looking for someone who is clear and has good collaboration skills with a willingness to share your knowledge and experiences. You have a good ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians. You take advantage of students' interests and develop them through both practical and theoretical work throughout the student's entire day. Temporary employment for the period August 3, 2026 to December 31, 2026, with possible opportunity for extension. Employment form: Fixed-term employment.
