At Young Recreation, we also offer meeting places for all ages. Leisure time is important for both young and old. It provides an opportunity to influence your own life and participate in society. These are important conditions for good public health and increase security. Together with social services, schools, police, and organizations, we work to create good conditions and living circumstances. Young Recreation and Meeting Places consists of nine recreation centers, four meeting places, and the mobile youth activity Team Recreation. Here you get to be part of making a difference. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS You work in an open recreation center for children and youth. In the role, you coach them by leading sports activities or other group activities. You listen to their ideas, thoughts, and wishes to increase their participation and influence. As a recreation leader, you follow children and youth in their development and get to experience many positive moments. At the meeting place, you are available and meet people of all ages. No day is like another thanks to the varied and flexible way of working. Together with engaged colleagues, you plan, implement, and develop the activities. With us there is also a strong sense of community where we support each other and have fun at work. You work days, evenings, and every other weekend on a schedule. QUALIFICATIONS This position suits you if you are confident, social, and make connections easily, while at the same time being clear and setting boundaries when needed. Of course, you contribute to good cooperation with your colleagues. We use computers a lot in the work, and therefore we want you to have good IT skills and experience working in different digital systems. You have a post-secondary education that we consider relevant. This can be completed or ongoing education from a university or vocational school in a relevant area. If you have experience working in socially disadvantaged areas, current experience working with open youth activities, and have previously worked coaching children and youth, that is a great advantage. It is a merit if you have collaborated with organizations, schools, police, or social services. It is a plus if you have a driver's license and training in MVP (Method for Violence Prevention). A criminal record check is required for the position. Employment form: Permanent employment. Duration: Permanent. Working hours: Days, evenings, and every other weekend. Approximately 3 evenings per week. The Culture and Recreation Department's mission is to create conditions for good living standards for all residents and visitors of Eskilstuna by offering a wide range of cultural activities and opportunities for stimulating leisure time. We are responsible for the municipality's music school, libraries, meeting places, archives, museums, recreation centers, organization support, and arenas for culture, sports, and outdoor activities. The department has an administrative office and three units: area arenas and outdoor activities, area Young Recreation and Meeting Places, and area Culture.
