Eric Ruuth Cultural Center is a hub in the municipality's cultural life. Here you'll find a cultural school and youth center activities, as well as close collaboration with local orchestras. In total, we have 35 employees. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Would you like to be one of us, those who meet the municipality's fantastic young people every day? Young people who give us both laugh lines and gray hair. You will plan, implement, and evaluate activities based on the young people's interests and needs. Conversing and building relationships with young people must come naturally to you. Together we create safe and welcoming meeting places. For this, you need to be able to work individually as well as in groups. We staff a total of 5 youth centers, 4 with permanent facilities and 1 mobile youth center, for young people in our target group from grade 6 through age 17. At Eric Ruuth Cultural Center, we work together for the municipality's children and youth. In addition to our regular activities, we also plan and implement various activities during school breaks and the municipality's own youth initiative Summerkick. Work is scheduled for evenings and weekends, so it's important that you are comfortable with a varied schedule. QUALIFICATIONS You are a person who: • is social and outgoing – easy at making contact and building relationships. • is courageous and fearless – dares to step up and handle challenges. • has physical stamina and energy to participate in activities and create engagement. • is curious about youth culture – follows trends and interests. • has good teamwork skills. • is secure in yourself and demonstrates a high degree of maturity and self-awareness. • is empathetic and can read people – understands and can meet young people's different needs. • is trained as a recreation leader or has education we consider equivalent. • has experience with similar work with young people. For us, it's important that you want to be a recreation leader, for real! If you have any special interests or specialized knowledge that could add value to our activities – don't forget to be clear about it in your application. We also consider it a merit if you are multilingual. A driver's license is required. Before a potential employment, a police clearance certificate will be requested.
