The operation is run by a team of eight recreation leaders. Beyond work at the recreation center, we have a strong focus on collaboration in the local area. Your tasks As a recreation leader, you play a significant role in creating meaningful and developmental leisure time for children and young people. By planning, leading, and inspiring various activities within open operations, you help make a difference in young people's lives. You work with children and young people ages 10–19 in drop-in activities, group programs, project work, and outreach activities. Your base is Djäknepark Recreation Center, but you also work proactively in other areas to reach young people where they are. Your work involves building safe and trusting relationships and creating an inclusive and inspiring environment where young people feel seen and motivated. Together with colleagues, you plan and develop the program based on young people's interests and needs. You also collaborate with schools, organizations, and other stakeholders to offer a broad and relevant range of activities. Who are you? We are looking for someone with a recreation leader education, social pedagogy education, or other relevant pedagogical university education of at least two years. You have experience working in open operations and with young people in educational or community organization settings. You also have experience collaborating with other organizations and working proactively with young people. As a person, you are confident and good at creating positive and supportive relationships with others. You enjoy working with colleagues and contribute to a good atmosphere in the work group. You take initiative and enjoy suggesting new ideas and approaches. Sharing knowledge and information with your colleagues is second nature to you, so that you can collectively achieve the program's goals. You have strong pedagogical skills where you adapt communication and interaction based on individuals' different circumstances. You have solid knowledge of documentation to ensure program quality. You see each individual and understand how people's background, culture, and group affiliation affect them.
