We are looking for a leisure activity leader at Bjurhovda recreation center and club—an operation with the goal of supporting and engaging young people in their development. Your Work Tasks As a leisure activity leader with us, you are responsible for developing and implementing meaningful activities for children and young people. Your assignment spans from the recreation club for younger children (10-12 years) to the recreation center for youth (13-17 years), and you work during daytime, evenings, and weekends. You will be an important part of our team that works closely with guardians, local actors, and other municipal operations to promote safety and community in the area. You have the ability to see and contribute to the bigger picture, both in daily work and in our long-term quality efforts. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone who is trained as a leisure activity leader or has other relevant post-secondary education. You have a strong interest in working with children and young people to create meaningful leisure activities and are motivated by coaching children and young people to reach their full potential. You are initiative-taking and committed to driving our operations forward together with us. Experience working with children and young people is an advantage, and it is beneficial if you have training or experience in a solution-focused work approach. If you have previously worked at a recreation club/recreation center, that is also an advantage for this position. You have the ability to adapt your approach based on situation and individual. You take responsibility for your tasks, work independently, and can structure and plan your work. You are flexible and collaborate well with others. You have an ease in creating trusting relationships and meet young people with respect and attentiveness. You value diversity and have the ability to convey knowledge and lead conversations in a professional and respectful manner regarding questions related to identity, norms, gender equality, and diversity.
