Bjursås school is a rural school with close access to beautiful green and forest areas and good opportunities for outdoor and sports activities. We are now looking for a Recreation Leader for Bjursåsskolan's after-school center! In the Bjursås school area, we also have Grycksbo and Sågmyra schools, and there is collaboration between the after-school centers, such as joint summer activities. Our entire school area is part of Falun Municipality's initiative "Together for Every Child," a development project to improve collaboration between school, healthcare, and social services. Together for Every Child means that all children and young people should have access to well-coordinated support in their daily lives, and through collaboration we can find ways to provide the right support at the right time. The school area also works with IBIS - Inclusive Behavioral Support in Schools, which is a project implemented with all staff in collaboration with Uppsala University. Job Responsibilities As a Recreation Leader, you are responsible, in collaboration with colleagues, for certain planning and implementation at the after-school center. You will also collaborate with the primary school during school hours and will be an important person in creating a sense of security for the students. Qualifications The role requires: Experience working with children Personal Qualities We are looking for someone who is flexible, responsible, and creative. We expect you to have a strong desire to build good relationships with students, guardians, colleagues, and management. Of course, you contribute to collaborative work, and you have good teamwork skills. You see students' different needs, take into account their individual circumstances, and have an inclusive approach. Qualities such as patience, curiosity, and the ability to build relationships are something we value. Personal suitability will be given particular weight. Meritorious Qualifications Pedagogical education Experience working as a Recreation Leader for younger students Interest and experience working with active recreation as a developmental teaching method and outdoor education Experience working with NPF Employment Terms The employment is a one-year substitute position, vacation replacement. Start date in August 2026 or by agreement. To be employed, you must provide an extract from the criminal record register, which will be requested if employment becomes relevant.
