We are now recruiting a Leisure Consultant responsible for keeping our sports halls and sports facilities functional for spontaneous, recreational, and elite sports alike. (Warning for overused sports terminology): Don't miss the ball, submit your application! About the Position In Örebro, the sports club community is important in many ways. Every day, a variety of club activities take place that help people meet, create new relationships and experiences, learn democratic values, and get physical stimulation. Örebro Municipality has approximately 58 indoor halls of various sizes, 4 ice rinks, 8 artificial turf fields, and approximately 28 football fields of various sizes, with about 170,000 booked hours per year in our facilities. We are now seeking an engaged, structured, and driven leisure consultant who will be responsible for ensuring that the sports club community has access to functional sports halls and facilities to conduct their activities. In your role, you will contribute to making a difference in people's daily lives and promoting health, community, and well-being for as many people as possible. You will help create conditions for citizens and visitors to have access to an active and meaningful leisure time that builds strong individuals as well as a strong society. As a leisure consultant, you will meet with and support several of Örebro Municipality's sports clubs and work closely with colleagues and collaboration partners within and outside the Department of Culture and Leisure. You will also collaborate with other departments and companies within Örebro Municipality, as well as other organizations and businesses. Examples of work tasks: - Club relations and facility matters - Conduct inspections and request maintenance work on our sports facilities - Plan and conduct meetings with clubs and other information initiatives for large and small groups - Support in planning maintenance, upkeep, and development of facilities as a subject matter expert on facility matters - Participate in budgeting, invoicing, and follow-up, and work in the Raindance management system - Produce documentation in text and calculations in Office 365 - Work in the InterbookGo management system linked to the facilities You may also work with various other tasks within the position, such as booking sports halls and facilities, club grants, and other club support that we work with within the unit. About the Workplace The Support, Development and Collaboration Unit within the Department of Culture and Leisure is based at Citypassagen, just next to the Travel Center in central Örebro. Citypassagen offers fresh, airy, and modern workspaces where we work activity-based. This means there are different zones depending on the work tasks to be performed; for example, a quiet zone when you need to focus, an active zone when you engage in active dialogue with your colleagues, and a normal zone for regular individual work. The unit has a total of 18 employees, with 10 working primarily on club support issues. Your immediate colleagues will be four people working specifically with facilities and bookings. Qualifications To succeed in this role, you need to be flexible, confident, and stable as a person, and be able to work well with other people. You have a practical sense, enjoy working both outdoors and indoors, and work equally well in teams as independently. You need to be calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions, but also able to make decisions that you can clearly explain and justify to the parties involved. Since the position involves a mix of quick operational issues and a longer-term perspective, you need the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work efficiently to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Furthermore, you have good knowledge of Swedish, express yourself well in speech and writing regarding both conversations and decision-making documents. You also have computer skills with experience working in various IT systems. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Requirements: - Completed upper secondary education - Experience with operation and maintenance of facilities and premises - B-category driving license for manual transmission vehicles - Experience working with the Office suite and various management systems Meritorious: - Experience working with maintenance of sports facilities (ice, grass, and artificial turf) - Knowledge of sports halls and sports facilities and their use - Experience working within sports clubs - Experience working in municipal or other public service Scope and Start Date Employment form: temporary position Employment level: 100% Start date and duration: as soon as possible by agreement - until December 31, 2027 Number of positions: 1 Working hours: Weekdays daytime, occasional evenings and weekends may occur Other Information Since the position involves work in premises where children are present, an extract from the criminal record register must be provided before an employment offer is made.
