WORK DUTIES We are now looking for an outdoor facilities manager for the Outdoor Recreation unit. Come and help make Gävle even better together with us! In this role, you will work outdoors in beautiful and scenic environments while being part of a dedicated team with a shared goal: to develop and maintain our outdoor recreation areas. The work is varied and flexible, which means no two days are the same—perfect for you if you thrive in a dynamic and practical role. Your work duties include: • Maintenance and care of: fitness trails, hiking trails, ski tracks, ski slopes, Gävle Guest Harbor, nature harbors, and Hemlingby outdoor recreation area. • Performing tasks such as: brush clearing, snow removal, sanding, carpentry, and painting of outdoor facilities. • Animal care: horses, sheep, rabbits, and chickens. • Guiding and supporting individuals in labor market initiatives working in outdoor recreation areas. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a practical background and experience working in operations and outdoor recreation. You are comfortable taking responsibility, have a Category B driver's license, and thrive in a role where you work independently while also supporting others in their development. If you also have experience in maintenance work, animal husbandry, or relevant certifications, we consider that an asset. To succeed in this role, you have: • Upper secondary education with a practical focus or equivalent professional experience that the employer deems relevant. • Experience working as operations personnel in outdoor recreation areas. • Category B driver's license and experience driving manual transmission vehicles. • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. • Experience guiding and supporting individuals in labor market initiatives. • Advantageous: certifications for all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, tractors, and chainsaws or brush cutters, as well as training as a vessel officer class 8.
