Do you want to be part of BMSL? BMSL – Bilingual Montessori School of Lund – is a multilingual preschool and elementary school in the heart of central Lund. We have children and students from one year of age through grade 9, creating a unique continuity and sense of community throughout each child's educational journey. We want to be a preschool and school where children and students feel safe, seen, and curious about learning. A place where they have the opportunity to discover, explore, think independently, and develop according to their abilities. At BMSL, learning, safety, and positive relationships go hand in hand. Today BMSL has approximately 44 children in preschool and 420 students in grades F–9. Our staff, children, and students come from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds, which contributes to a stimulating, international, and dynamic environment. English, French, and Swedish are a natural part of our activities from preschool onward and follow children throughout their time at BMSL. We are now seeking a French-speaking licensed preschool teacher for our toddler department We are looking for you to work in our department for the youngest children, ages 1–2, and help create a safe, warm, and nurturing first experience in preschool. Work with our youngest children is characterized by presence, care, and responsiveness. We place great emphasis on building secure relationships and a predictable daily routine where each child has the opportunity to explore their surroundings, develop independence, and encounter new experiences at their own pace. Care, development, and learning form a unified whole in the children's daily lives. Our preschool's work is based on Montessori pedagogy. We start from the child's innate drive to learn, discover, and develop, and we work to create a prepared environment that stimulates independence, curiosity, and participation. As an educator, you are present and guiding, creating conditions for even the very youngest children to develop according to their individual needs and abilities. As a preschool teacher with us, you play an important role, together with your colleagues, in developing instruction and creating an environment where each child has the opportunity to grow, explore, and develop. You are responsible for planning, leading, implementing, following up on, and developing instruction based on the preschool's curriculum, Montessori pedagogy, and the children's needs, experiences, and interests. The preschool is multilingual and Swedish, English, and French are a natural part of the children's daily lives. For this position, we are particularly looking for you to be French-speaking and to actively contribute to helping children from an early age encounter and develop the French language in a natural and enjoyable way in everyday activities. If you have Montessori training, experience with Montessori activities, or previous experience working with children ages 1–2, we see that as particularly valuable.
