Hundreds of cases and matters are resolved daily in courts throughout Sweden. Our organization consists of employees with different competencies, where each person is important in maintaining legal certainty and high quality at all levels. The Administrative Court of Malmö is one of Sweden's largest courts and one of the country's four migration courts. The Administrative Court is a general administrative court that primarily resolves disputes between private individuals and state or municipal authorities. The Administrative Court handles approximately 450 different case types. The most common case types are migration cases, tax cases, social security cases, cases under the Social Services Act, cases concerning administrative enforcement measures, driver's license cases, cases concerning public procurement, and cases concerning delay proceedings. Additionally, there are cases such as legality reviews under the Local Government Act and various licensing cases. A large number of cases have EU law connections. The Administrative Court has approximately 300 employees working in modern facilities in a newly built courthouse building at Malmö Central Station. The court is characterized by an open and pleasant work environment. The Administrative Court strives for diversity among staff regarding age, gender, and cultural background. Are you a lawyer with a particular interest in migration law? The Administrative Court of Malmö is now seeking five or more judicial officers with start date by agreement. Recruitment within other legal fields may also be relevant. Duties As a judicial officer, you perform qualified legal work. The duties consist of preparing cases, conducting legal research, presenting cases for decision, being a recording secretary at oral hearings, and drafting proposals for judgments or decisions. As a judicial officer, you shall keep yourself updated and informed on matters concerning current legal areas and otherwise contribute to the court's operational development. Qualifications To be eligible for employment, you have a valid Swedish law degree. According to the Act (1971:289) on General Administrative Courts, judicial officers in administrative courts must be Swedish citizens. You are a meticulous person with a good ability to structure and prioritize your work tasks. You express yourself well, both orally and in writing. Furthermore, you have a very good ability to work independently but also find it easy to collaborate. We place great emphasis on personal qualities and therefore testing is part of the recruitment process. It may be meritorious if you have completed notarial service or will be notarial certified by November 1, 2026 at the latest. It may also be meritorious if you have other relevant experience from a court. As a current or former employee at Swedish Courts, you must have good references from the court to be considered for employment. It may also be meritorious if you have relevant and current work experience in qualified legal work, where experience in migration law may be particularly meritorious. To be eligible for employment, you must meet high standards regarding judgment, security awareness, and suitability. This means that you stand up for democratic values and the state values that govern Swedish Courts' operations. We require that you comply with applicable laws and we will conduct extracts from the suspicion and burden register on final candidates.
