About Us The Legal Department's core mission is to work together with the Head of Legal Affairs to ensure that operations are conducted with legal certainty, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable legislation. The legal issues within Kommunals a-kassa span a wide range of legal areas such as insurance law, employment law, contract law, tax law, public access and confidentiality, personal data handling, digitalization, and information security. As a lawyer with us, you will work both operationally and strategically with legal matters and contribute to strengthening the organization's regulatory compliance. You will also play a central role in developing the Legal Department and have the opportunity to make a clear impact on strategy, structure, and working methods. About the Position Your tasks will include providing qualified legal support in individual cases, conducting legal investigations, working with policy documents, information and document management, and more. You will also participate in developing routines and working methods for quality assurance and legal certainty in operations. The role includes serving as the unemployment fund's Data Protection Officer, as well as supporting operations in other legal matters. Further, you will contribute with legal considerations and guidance, and be part of the organization's development by solving complex legal challenges where there are not always predetermined answers. You may also be called upon to provide training both internally and externally. About You We are looking for someone who has: • A law degree or other legal education that Kommunals a-kassa deems equivalent. • Very strong administrative law knowledge and several years of experience with qualified legal work in the public sector. • Very strong experience with legal work in the field of data protection and personal data processing. • Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English. It is meriting if you have: • Notary qualification or other court experience. • Experience working with contracts and procurement. • Experience with employment law issues. • Experience in tax law, public access and confidentiality, digitalization, or information security. Kommunals a-kassa has a collective agreement with Handels. The position is located at our fine head office centrally in Stockholm, Skanstull. Travel may be required for the role.
