DUTIES As director of the Care and Social Services Administration, you will lead an operation with approximately 1,400 employees and a comprehensive public service mission. You have overall responsibility for operations, finances, quality, and development, with the goal of ensuring long-term sustainable and efficient care and social services for Enköping residents. You will lead the administration's management team and are responsible for working with your direct reports to create consensus, strengthen leadership, and ensure clear strategic direction for the administration's continued development. This position requires strong change management, structure, and present leadership. You are expected to create engagement, participation, and accountability at all levels of the organization, while driving development work that strengthens quality, sustainability, and financial balance. In this role, you will work closely with the political leadership and serve as an important link between politics and operations. You report to the Municipal Director and present matters to the Care and Social Services Committee and Municipal Council. You also participate in the municipality's overall management team alongside other administration directors and actively contribute to the municipality's overall development. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone with a strong drive to continuously develop operations with a sustainable and quality focus for those we serve—Enköping residents. You should have relevant academic education for this position. We also value training in leadership and/or change management. We are seeking someone with previous work experience in: • Several years of experience in leadership and management at the overall organizational level. • Experience working in a politically governed organization. • Experience in change management and strategic workforce planning, preferably in the public sector. • Documented experience turning around financial deficits and managing operations with sustainable financial governance. • Experience with social and environmental sustainability with good results. • Strong experience handling media and creating cooperation with internal and external contacts with good results. • Experience building a strong management team and creating a positive organizational culture. • Experience working toward established goals and regular follow-up.
