Within Property Management, approximately 40 people work. The Property Board, established in 2023, is responsible for strategic planning, governance, and monitoring of the city's combined property portfolio, including company properties. The board also ensures the city's need for premises and housing, handles purchases, sales, rentals, and leases, and is responsible for managing tenancies.
Further, the board is responsible for operations, maintenance, and management of the city's properties, apartments, and leased premises. In collaboration with other departments, facility planning is coordinated, and the board is responsible for construction on behalf of the city council or other boards.
The property portfolio includes the city's own properties and tenant-owned apartments, as well as properties within the Lidingö City Property AB and Lidingö City Land Share Company. In total, the portfolio encompasses approximately 300,000 m2.

Your Role
As Property Management Director, you are part of the city's management group where you contribute to overall development work. You also have your own management group that leads and distributes work within Property Management. Your responsibility also includes being chair and CEO of Lidingö City Property AB and Lidingö City Land AB.
In the role, you have overall strategic responsibility for Property Management, including operations, budget, and personnel responsibility. You lead and develop the department's managers and operations and ensure that the department delivers high quality.
The assignment includes ensuring that the city's operations have access to the premises and housing needed, as well as planning and managing long-term and strategic facility provision in close collaboration with other departments. You actively participate in the municipality's urban development projects and contribute to the overall work of the management group, where a clear development focus is of great importance. You are also responsible for the city's commercial properties.
You report to the Property Board and the City Director.
Your Profile
You are goal-oriented with documented experience of delivering on set objectives. You are a strategic leader with good environmental awareness who contributes to an innovative culture and has experience driving successful change processes.
You work in a structured and methodical manner, with the ability to organize and prioritize so that work is conducted efficiently and with high quality. At the same time, you have a good holistic perspective and understand long-term consequences and future needs.
You inspire and create a motivating work environment where you both support and challenge. You have strong collaboration skills and work toward solutions that benefit the whole.
You have an operations-driven approach with good financial understanding and the ability to ensure efficient resource use and value creation in the department.
Qualifications:
relevant university or college education
multiple years of experience in leadership with personnel and budget responsibility, preferably by leading other managers
future-focused leader accustomed to working with strategic planning and environmental monitoring, as well as innovation work to create a creative culture within the department
a business-like approach and documented expertise in the real estate field
meritorious with expertise from commercial real estate operations
meritorious with experience from politically governed organizations
strong ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish

The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date by mutual agreement.
