About the Position We are seeking a Section Chief who wants to be part of our growth journey! Together with your team members, you will be a key factor in strengthening the Swedish Armed Forces, Sweden, and our allies' capabilities. You are comfortable implementing and leading operations in a period of change and growth. In your role as Section Chief, you will have responsibility for budget, personnel, work environment, and production. You will actively work with personnel and development matters. Given that the Swedish Armed Forces is experiencing strong growth, you will place significant focus on recruiting and developing personnel. Qualifications Post-secondary education in IT/Economics/Behavioral Science or equivalent experience deemed comparable Experience in a leadership position within IT operations with personnel responsibility Excellent communication skills, experience conveying information effectively and clearly in both speech and writing Class B driving license Swedish citizenship Meritorious Experience with production responsibility Work experience from the Swedish Armed Forces, another government agency, or a large organization Previous experience in work requiring high security awareness Experience leading senior and qualified employees Knowledge and understanding of agile working methods Familiarity with following frameworks and agreements Personal Qualities You are open and unpretentious, willing to engage in constructive discussions, and genuinely interested in helping your employees reach their full potential through a coaching leadership style. You work continuously on improvement activities and develop operational results toward both the section's and department's established goals. You contribute to a positive work climate, and you easily see the bigger picture and can quickly shift between different perspectives. You have good analytical skills, can prioritize, and make decisions quickly to handle sudden changes in priorities and tasks. It is important that you have a high level of security awareness. Other Information The position is a permanent civil employment with a duty station in Stockholm. Start date as soon as possible or by agreement. The Swedish Armed Forces applies a 6-month probationary period for those not previously employed by the Swedish Armed Forces. Travel and business trips are part of the position.
