Oxievångsskolan currently has 6 dedicated lead teachers who conduct pedagogical development at the school on behalf of the leadership team. This role focuses on developing mathematics instruction from a K-9 perspective so that our students have the opportunity to achieve the best possible learning outcomes. During the school year, you will be responsible for the mathematics subject group, where we will implement a developmental initiative during the year, in which you as lead teacher will play a major and important role. You will also be responsible for one of our work teams. In close consultation with school leadership, you will have good conditions to plan, implement, and evaluate the development initiatives you are responsible for. Every week our school development group meets with school leadership, special educators, and lead teachers to systematically develop instruction during the school year. We have high expectations of each other and together contribute to a developmental climate. Your development initiatives inspire your colleagues and thereby contribute to higher learning outcomes. At the same time, the majority of your position is teaching. You will begin your employment as a mentor in the intermediate grades to become familiar with the entire operation. You conduct varied, creative, and engaging instruction for our students, both individually and in teams. You analyze your own instruction and find strategies to reach each student and contribute to increased learning outcomes. You plan, assess, evaluate, and develop pedagogical activities in accordance with the school's governing documents and systematic quality work. The lead teacher works at their own workplace but also has a partially municipal/administrative role in spreading best practices. Qualifications You are a certified teacher with credentials in Math and Science. To be eligible for the lead teacher position, you must be able to document at least four years of well-documented work after graduation involving instruction within one or more positions in the school system. We also appreciate experience mentoring other teachers or driving pedagogical development processes. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work and, with good knowledge and practice, work effectively with relevant digital tools. Of course, you maintain a professional approach and work for good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.
