Job Duties As a senior social worker, you will provide support and guidance to both new and experienced social workers in daily work. The main responsibility of a senior social worker is to provide case supervision. The role includes staying updated on new research, legislation and directives, and ensuring their implementation in daily operational work. You will participate in creating and maintaining routines and functioning processes in daily work. In close collaboration with the section manager, you will follow up on the unit's goals and results and drive the unit's development forward. As a senior social worker, you will primarily: - Categorize and distribute cases - Support social workers in daily work and toward the goal of working independently - Serve as a subject matter expert - Conduct regular service reviews and case supervision with social workers - Read written materials and provide feedback - Oversee case handling in accordance with applicable legislation and guidelines - Introduce newly hired social workers - Participate in development activities - Maintain methods and assessment tools to ensure their use in daily case handling Qualifications We are looking for someone who is educated as a social worker and has several years of experience in public authority work under the Social Services Act concerning children and families, particularly with experience in youth cases; behavior that breaks social norms, criminality and mental health issues. You thus have very good knowledge of current legislation and handling of children, young people and their families, good knowledge of and experience with BBIC, and experience collaborating with both internal and external parties. Further, high demands are placed on administrative ability and the ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. It is meritorious to have previous experience supervising colleagues and experience working in LifeCare, with MI, Ester and Signs of Safety. As a person, we see that you have the ability to coach, motivate and help others develop in their work and reach increased independence with trust. You are communicative, clear, attentive to your counterpart, and have the ability to formulate information or messages so that everyone understands. Furthermore, you are secure and stable in yourself and in your work. You are calm, controlled, and have the ability to focus on the right things and maintain a realistic perspective even in pressured situations. The position of senior social worker also requires that you have the ability to plan, prioritize and follow up on your work and ensure that things are done and reported back on time. Furthermore, we see that you have good empathetic ability and easily adapt to different people and situations, and that you can meet each colleague at their level and according to their need for support and guidance in work. You must also be prepared to support and assist with urgent matters within the section. About the Workplace The Business Area Individual and Family is divided into two departments with different assignments and focus areas. These areas are services and investigation. Within the investigation department, we are now seeking a senior social worker to the Youth Unit, whose target group is young people with behavior that breaks social norms such as criminality, substance abuse or other norm-breaking behavior, as well as mental health issues and school absenteeism. In many cases, there are also deficiencies in care. The work group consists of 13 investigating social workers, one senior social worker, and one section manager.
