Do you want to combine operational social work with team leadership, quality, and development? Do you want to help create a safer future for children and young people in vulnerable situations? We are looking for a confident and experienced team leader to launch our Safety Team based on Signs of Safety. About the workplace In the city, the social services department is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable residents to become self-sufficient in life so they can take an active part in society. We are in the process of reshaping ourselves according to the new social services with a focus on creating a more accessible social service based on three main areas: authority, services and support, and housing. Safety planning according to Signs of Safety is a structured approach used in families where there is significant concern about the child's situation and where placement outside the home is relevant or at risk of becoming so. Together with the child, family, and their network, a safety plan is developed that creates conditions for security and safety, even in a challenging life situation. With us, you get the opportunity to lead your team in work that makes a real difference through close collaboration with families and their networks. Job responsibilities You work closely with case handlers, provide support in complex cases, and help develop both working methods and people. Sometimes legal aspects are in focus. Sometimes it's about structure. But often it's your ability to ask the right questions – rather than having all the answers – that makes the difference. You believe that the best solutions emerge through collaboration, humility, and shared commitment, not through one individual. You work to lead and coordinate the daily work within the safety team. You serve as a methodological and operational support for staff and contribute to developing working methods, routines, and quality. Job responsibilities may include: - providing support and guidance to staff in complex cases - ensuring legally sound case handling, treatment work, and documentation according to applicable legislation - introducing and mentoring new staff members - participating in development and quality work - collaborating with internal and external stakeholders - contributing to operations planning and follow-up together with your manager The Safety Team is a new function within the social services department in Helsingborg. As team leader, you will have a central role in building and developing the team's mission, working methods, and structure so that it becomes a natural and long-term part of the department's work. The assignment includes convening and leading collaboration forums, contributing to the development of resource planning, and ensuring that the team's expertise is used optimally. As an employee, you will receive a wellness allowance of 3000 kronor per year. Qualifications We are looking for you who - have a degree in social work - have at least 3 years of experience in authority work within social services/children and youth - have good knowledge of relevant legislation, such as SoL and LVU - have experience in team leadership It is meritorious if you have education in, for example, supervision, Signs of Safety, or BBIC As a person We are looking for you who is a confident and trustworthy leader with the ability to create engagement and development in others. You don't always need to have the quick answers – instead, you have the ability to ask questions that lead to reflection, learning, and wise decisions. You build trusting relationships and provide support in a way that strengthens others in their own responsibility. When the situation requires it, you dare to challenge established working methods, while encouraging and supporting your staff in their development. You work in a structured manner, are solution-oriented, and can prioritize even when the pace is high and many issues need to be handled at the same time. With a calm and stable approach, you create security for both staff and collaboration partners. For you, good service is a natural part of leadership.
