The Preschool and Primary School Department is one of Varberg Municipality's largest departments with close to 2,200 employees. Within our operational areas of preschool, primary school, and child and student health services, we are here for children and students – together we shape the future. Stråvalla Preschool is located in Stråvalla community, the municipality's northernmost part, approximately 25 kilometers north of Varberg. Here there are three departments and space for 51 children. The preschool is close to the sea, beach and beautiful natural areas that are often explored. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a preschool teacher with us, you have the overall responsibility for ensuring that education and instruction are conducted according to the preschool's curriculum. We offer a work environment where play, curiosity and a language-developing approach are at the center. Here you get the space to advance the pedagogical work with mature self-leadership and drive development together with engaged colleagues, always with the children's best interests and lifelong learning in focus. Main responsibilities: • Lead the pedagogical work in the team and create a safe and stimulating environment where each child gets to develop based on their own conditions. • Design accessible learning environments, both indoors and outdoors, that challenge and inspire children through play. • Document and analyze children's development and learning to make pedagogical processes visible and ensure educational quality. • Actively participate in child health work and promote an inclusive approach where all children are seen and confirmed. • Create professional relationships with guardians and collaborate around the child's development and the preschool's mission. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who are driven by a desire to develop the preschool based on current research and proven experience. You combine pedagogical expertise with warmth and have a genuine commitment to being present in children's daily lives. Through your professional approach, you create good relationships with children, colleagues and guardians, where you see collaboration as a key to a good work environment. We see that you have: • Certification as a preschool teacher • Good grounding in the curriculum and the ability to implement its goals in daily pedagogical work. • A genuine commitment to children's development and the ability to be present in their daily lives. • A language-developing approach and good communication skills in speech and writing. • Good self-leadership ability and confidence in organizing your own work. It is an advantage if you have: • Experience with alternative communication such as TAKK or visual support. Salary form: Monthly salary. Type of employment: Fixed-term employment.
