About Us Söderköpings Waldorfskola has been operating since 1985 as a non-profit foundation, offering both preschool and primary education. The preschool accommodates 50 children and consists of two buildings—one for younger children and one for older children—with three groups in each building. This ensures small groups with consistent educators. The preschool is located on the outskirts of Söderköping with forest as a neighbor, where we take regular excursions. Our Pedagogy Our preschool follows Waldorf pedagogy, aiming to create a safe and warm environment where children's imagination, creativity, and natural development can flourish. Outdoor play, artistic activities, storytelling, and immersive learning are central to our daily work. We want to provide children with the opportunity to participate in a pedagogical and social context where they can grow and develop at their own pace in a calm and stimulating environment. Free play and social interaction are our focus, as is rhythm—each day, week, and year has its own specific rhythm that helps children feel familiar and secure. Job Responsibilities As a preschool teacher with us, you will work with a small group of children in close collaboration with dedicated colleagues. You will plan, implement, and evaluate pedagogical work together with your colleagues according to both the Waldorf preschool curriculum and Lpfö18. You will participate in the development of the facility, nurture good relationships with children and parents, and contribute to a safe and stimulating environment. The position is 80–100% according to agreement; the temporary placement may transition to a permanent position. Qualifications We are looking for someone with: - Waldorf preschool teacher certification or state certification with interest or experience in Waldorf pedagogy - Good collaboration skills and ability to work independently - Commitment to children's development and a desire to work within a pedagogy where rhythm, care, and free play have a central place Meritorious: - Experience from a Waldorf preschool - Knowledge of Waldorf pedagogical methods and materials Personal Qualities We are seeking a warm, attentive, and dedicated educator who thrives in a small facility with close connections to both children and colleagues.
