Your duties As a preschool teacher, you hold overall pedagogical responsibility for education and instruction. You share pedagogical responsibility with another preschool teacher, and the team also includes a childcare assistant – together you create a safe and stimulating environment based on the curriculum. Your role is characterized by professional freedom where you have considerable scope to shape instruction. You are expected to be an excellent pedagogical leader who collaborates relationally with children, colleagues, and guardians. To provide you with the right conditions, we have structured reflection time every week. You have one hour allocated for collaboration with other preschool teachers in the facility and one hour for planning with your immediate work team. Beyond this, you as a preschool teacher also have your own planning time. We work with theme-based approaches with a special focus on language development, and we value people who enjoy working in teams and helping each other across departments. Your workplace The preschools in the Sturefors, Bestorp, and Brokind areas are located close to nature, and our guiding principles are Commitment, competence, and joy of work. Approximately 45 children attend, and the facility is located in the same building as Brokind School, within walking distance to forests and other stimulating play environments. We have close collaboration within the building and open and close together. The preschool also has an equipped preschool bus that travels to various excursion destinations – a unique resource that inspires new learning environments. As a preschool teacher in this area, you become part of a work team that continuously learns and develops. You have access to present leadership and strong support functions in the form of special education teacher, lead preschool teacher, health inspirers, ICT coordinator, and cultural representative. About you First and foremost, we seek you with preschool teacher credentials. Second, we seek you with a degree from preschool teacher training. Alternatively, you are near the end of your preschool teacher education. It is a requirement that you have experience working with children in curriculum-guided preschool through internship, employment, or volunteer work. You have good communicative ability in spoken and written Swedish. This is because according to the curriculum (Lpfö18), you must organize and conduct work so that the child receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each child can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way. In your role as a preschool teacher, you create good relationships and collaborate well with children, colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society relevant to your professional role. You have a good understanding of people's differences and approach them in a receptive manner in instruction and the preschool's daily life. You lead work with both children and colleagues through motivation, engagement, and participation.
