The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest administrations with close to 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation—preschool, primary school, and child and student health—we are here for children and students. Together, we shape the future. Bläshammar Preschool is located in Bläshammar just north of Varberg. The preschool, which opened in 2025, has six home groups and room for 120 children. The preschool's outdoor environment is a nature-based play landscape with vegetation, hills, logs, and stones. Here play and landscape are woven together. WORK TASKS As a preschool teacher with us, you have overall responsibility for ensuring that education and instruction are conducted according to the preschool's curriculum. We offer a work environment where play, curiosity, and a language-developing approach are at the center. Here you have the space to advance the pedagogical work with mature self-leadership and drive development together with engaged colleagues, always with the children's best interests and lifelong learning in focus. Main work tasks: • Lead the pedagogical work in the work team and create a safe and stimulating environment where each child can develop according to their abilities. • Design accessible learning environments, both indoors and outdoors, that challenge and inspire children through play. • Document and analyze children's development and learning to make pedagogical processes visible and ensure the quality of education. • Actively participate in work related to child health and promote an inclusive approach where all children are seen and affirmed. • Create professional relationships with guardians and collaborate around the child's development and the preschool's mission. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone driven by a desire to develop the preschool based on current research and proven experience. You combine pedagogical competence with warmth and have a genuine commitment to being present in children's daily lives. Through your professional approach, you create good relationships with children, colleagues, and guardians, where you see collaboration as a key to a good work environment. We see that you have: • Certification as a preschool teacher • Good grounding in the curriculum and ability to implement its goals in daily pedagogical work. • Genuine engagement for children's development and ability to be present in their everyday lives. • A language-developing approach and strong ability to communicate in speech and writing. • Good ability for self-leadership and confidence in organizing your own work. It is meritorious if you have: • Experience with alternative communication such as TAKK or picture support. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-08-31 Start date by agreement, end date: 2027-07-11.
