About the Activity Trollgården Preschool is a small preschool with three departments - one for younger children ages 1-2.5 years and two for children ages 2.5-5 years. The close collaboration between departments creates a strong sense of community for both children and educators. Through Simbaskolan, Trollgården has close collaboration with the city's zoo. Through Minisimbaskolan, three- and four-year-olds visit the zoo together with a zoo educator twice per term. These visits aim to spark curiosity and develop empathy, care, and respect for animals. For five-year-olds, the work is deepened through monthly meetings with a zoo educator, where children learn to care for animals and develop their knowledge about them. Children then bring their experiences back to preschool, where they are shared with younger peers and incorporated into play and learning environments. We are proud of this unique collaboration, which gives you the opportunity to follow children's curiosity and learning in encounters with animals. The collaboration provides both children and educators with experiences that enrich teaching. The preschool has a development group consisting of one preschool teacher from each department. Together with the principal, the group drives the preschool's quality development. During the 2026/2027 school year, our prioritized development area is A Preschool for All - preventing and managing challenging behaviors. We develop shared approaches and methods to create a safe, accessible, and adapted learning environment where all children are given good conditions to participate, develop, and thrive. The language development approach is a natural part of this work. Through language, play, interaction, and good relationships, we create conditions for participation, learning, and well-being for all children. At Trollgården, children meet present, attentive, and playful educators who see each child as an asset and build on each child's strengths. The preschool's learning environments are continuously developed to create rich opportunities for children's language development, play, and interaction. At Trollgården, there is a schedule that creates security for both children and educators and provides time for reflection and recovery. We believe in the power of collegial learning and develop the activity together through reflection, analysis, and close collaboration between departments. Work Tasks At Trollgården Preschool, you work to give all children and guardians a time in preschool to remember with joy and pride. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for upholding every child's right to an equitable preschool. As a preschool teacher with us, you are expected to plan, implement, follow up, and analyze teaching based on the curriculum together with your future colleagues. Together with your colleagues, you develop learning environments that spark children's curiosity and desire to explore, play, and learn. You also actively contribute to the preschool's development work and help develop an accessible learning environment where language, play, relationships, and participation create good conditions for each child's development and learning. Qualifications We are looking for you who: Want to make a difference for our youngest citizens and share our belief that good relationships, language, and play form the foundation for children's learning and development. You are a certified preschool teacher and advocate for every child's right to an equitable preschool. Have secure and clear leadership that creates a community where all children feel like an asset in the group. Give children the opportunity to influence and participate during their time at preschool. Have star eyes - you see each child with curiosity, warmth, and confidence. Through a genuine interest in children's thoughts, feelings, and ideas, you build trusting relationships and contribute to the atmosphere where our children can grow and develop. We see our preschool as a greenhouse where each child can grow and develop at their own pace. The atmosphere we create together is the educators' shared responsibility. Can interpret children's intentions and different forms of expression with an empathetic approach. You put words to what is happening here and now and make the situation manageable, comprehensible, and meaningful for children. Your ability creates quality in the encounter with each child. Use play, interaction, and dialogue as a conscious language development approach.
