About the Organization
We are now looking for you who are passionate about working in a preschool with the child at the center at Björnflokan Preschool in central Borås, in the Blomsterängen district in Druvefor. The preschool opened in early January 2023.
Björnflokan is built according to the National School Board's recommendations based on group size and is located on two floors. This means we have four groups with 12 children each on floor 1 and five groups with 15 children each on floor 2. We have large, spacious departments and shared studios on both floors. The oldest children eat in our restaurant located on floor 2. We have a large and varied playground and we naturally work with outdoor teaching as our organization is based on project time both indoors and outdoors.
The preschool's proximity to the community and city, as well as access to nature, provides good opportunities for varied teaching in different environments.
Björnflokan's profile is Sustainability in Preschool with the child at the center. We place great emphasis on working toward equal education where all children are given the conditions to influence both here and now but also in the future through education characterized by well-being and confidence in the future. Our vision of the child at the center should permeate how we organize ourselves, our approach, and our learning environments. Our education should reflect an equal and democratic society where diversity and differences are seen as an asset. Children's participation and influence are a natural part that should permeate our entire education.
Since startup, we have worked to develop an organization that enables work in smaller groups for most of the day, which is beneficial for both children's development and learning as well as for educators' work environment. We are innovative and solution-focused and see many advantages in how we organize ourselves. We are trained preschool teachers and childcare workers who see collaboration across departmental boundaries as a prerequisite for good team spirit and shared responsibility for all children at our preschool.
In our organization, we take advantage of the different competencies available, which means we have both process leaders who lead development work based on our upcoming activity plan as well as coordinators who manage the current situation to free up time for pedagogical processes. Clarity in roles and responsibilities is an important factor in our organization to create work peace and a good work environment.

Responsibilities
As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for leading and developing teaching in accordance with governing documents and the preschool's goals based on the preschool's activity plan. You systematically document and use the documentation in your work to follow up and evaluate the quality of education to provide each individual child with good conditions for development and learning.
To succeed in your assignment, you will be given good conditions for pedagogical development time, both individually and together with colleagues, to be able to follow up and more deeply analyze your education based on established goals. You work daily to create a safe, fun and educational teaching environment and you participate in designing thoughtful learning environments both indoors and outdoors.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a certified preschool teacher and who want to be an important part of children's development and learning at our preschool where sustainability permeates our teaching, collaboration, and organization.
To succeed in the role of preschool teacher, you are committed, assignment-conscious and see play as your primary tool for lifelong learning. You create conditions for sustainability in preschool where concepts such as teaching, children's participation and influence are important in your work. You are curious about what children discover and express and let children's voices be heard and visible in the activities.
We are looking for you who are easy to collaborate with and develop in meeting with other people and are driven by both contributing your own experiences and competence as well as taking part in your colleagues'. You see collaboration as an important part of creating a good work environment for you and your colleagues and have good communication with everyone you meet.

Within the Preschool Administration, we have free pedagogical lunches, work clothes, and as a preschool teacher you also have on average five hours of planning time per week. We also offer trained mentors if you are new to the profession, as well as opportunities for professional development and collegial learning.
