About the Facility
Welcome to apply to Äsperedsgårdens Preschool, which is integrated with the F-6 school and sports hall in a beautiful and peaceful rural area approximately two miles outside Borås. The beautiful surroundings and sports hall are actively used in our activities, providing children with excellent opportunities for movement, play, and learning about nature and the environment.
The preschool consists of three departments: Storken (The Stork) for children ages 1-2, Tranan (The Crane) for children 2-3 years, and Svanen (The Swan) for children 4-5 years. We work closely together between departments and have a shared focus in our pedagogical work, which creates security and continuity for the children.
At Äsperedsgården, we want everyone to feel welcome and safe. We want to lay the foundation for lifelong learning by offering a secure environment where children develop through play. We carry our core values with us in everything we do at the preschool, and our approach is based on the equal value of all. We have a permissive approach at our preschool, which means that children's participation is in focus. Everyone who works at the preschool is an important bearer of our shared core values. Our view of children is based on the belief that all children are capable; our mission is to challenge and encourage each child to seek new knowledge and experience. Teaching should be varied, joyful, and based on the preschool curriculum.
We place great emphasis on language development and make use of every opportunity for good conversations. We create shared understanding of various concepts and develop collegial learning by reading common literature and exchanging thoughts, ideas, and experiences. We do this in part through our Pedagogical Forums, a forum for conversation and discussion where pedagogy takes place.
We are now looking for a preschool teacher who wants to be part of developing our preschool further through an engagement that creates conditions for children's desire to learn and opportunity to succeed.
Job Responsibilities
As a preschool teacher, it is important to have a thorough understanding of what the role entails, such as being responsible for planning, implementing, and documenting activities based on the preschool's governing documents and creating a safe and educational environment where children, their learning, and development are at the center.
You have responsibility both individually and together with the team for the pedagogical activities.
Qualifications
We are looking for a certified preschool teacher who, with great commitment, wants to be part of providing our children with the best possible pedagogical start in lifelong learning. Whether you are newly qualified or have worked for many years, you are warmly welcome to apply for this position with us.
You are a confident and present educator who has a genuine interest in children's development and learning. You have a positive and permissive approach and see each child's possibilities and potential. You are attentive, responsible, and have good collaboration skills, which helps you contribute to a good working environment and close teamwork.
We also see that you are flexible and solution-focused, with the ability to adapt teaching based on children's needs and interests. You have a reflective way of working and want to be part of developing the activities together with your colleagues. Since we highly value language development, you are communicative and aware of the importance of language in daily work.

Within the Preschool Administration, we offer free pedagogical lunches, work clothes, and as a preschool teacher, you have on average five hours of planning time per week.
