In Ludvika, children and youth are important! We demonstrate this by making children and youth the center of our municipal organization. Most resources directed toward children and youth have been consolidated under one governing board. Here you will find preschool, elementary school, adapted elementary school, and individual and family care services. What unites all these activities is a conscious quality improvement process to continuously develop and enhance our work with children and youth. The Workplace Currently, the preschool has approximately 21 enrolled children distributed across 1.5 classrooms, and we work collaboratively in a larger team and divide into groups throughout the day. The preschool has capacity for 30 children, and when we reach full enrollment, there will be 2 separate classrooms. Högberget is a multicultural preschool. Work Responsibilities As a preschool teacher with us, you will work pedagogically with children ages 1-5 years. Your most important task is to create and develop a safe and secure environment for the children, where they are encouraged and challenged to engage in activities, learning, and responsibility-taking. Together with your colleagues on the team, you will create an environment based on the children's needs and interests, where children feel they have influence and participate in shaping the preschool's environment and activities. This requires that you take personal responsibility and collaborate both within the team and with parents and other staff. Ludvika Municipality prioritizes systematic quality improvement work for the preschool. Through pedagogical documentation, the preschool is monitored, evaluated, and developed. In this work, you will be an important collaborator in the shared responsibility to plan, implement, document, and follow up on activities in accordance with applicable governing documents. Qualifications We are seeking someone who has preschool teacher education or early childhood teacher education with an obtained teaching license, and who has good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. We consider it meritorious if you have knowledge of special education, communication, and/or clarifying pedagogy. It is also meritorious if you have previous work experience in this field. To succeed in the role of preschool teacher, you need the ability to create calm and security in the children's group, which promotes a creative and learning environment for the children. Your knowledge and understanding of the importance of play for learning and young children's development is very good. Your approach is positive in your interactions with people, and you find it easy to build good relationships with both children and adults. Your structured work style and sense of responsibility will make it easy for you to work independently and adapt to different situations. Your collaboration skills and communication are good, and you see the team as an asset where you together drive operational development. What You Get From Us!
